This was down to a perceived lack of demand among customers, with the old school image of a Harley Davidson rider being that of a tough, hardcore biker. That, as well as the costlier process of producing automatics, mean that the LiveWire 2020 is the first Harley Davidson with automatic transmission. It is positioned as Harley Davidson’s flagship electric motorcycle and is perfect for newer and urban riders. In addition, those with mobility impairment and disabilities may find an automatic Harley easier to ride.
