Biltwell Helmets
We sell four Biltwell helmet ranges, and every one of them is full-face: Gringo, Gringo S, Gringo SV and Lane Splitter. That is 45 helmets for sale, with free UK delivery available. Most are 10% off RRP or more.
Choosing between the four ranges
The 45 helmets split 13 Gringo, 9 Gringo S, 13 Gringo SV and 10 Lane Splitter, with each colourway sold as its own listing. Biltwell's spec lists show these on all four ranges:
- Injection-moulded ABS outer shell
- Dual-density EPS inner shell to absorb impact energy
- Moulded urethane chin-bar pad
- D-ring chin strap with a quick-release pull tab
- Moulded EPS ear pockets that fit some aftermarket audio accessories
What changes is the shield, the vents and, on the Lane Splitter, a chin spoiler.

Sizing and fit
Biltwell publish one head-measurement chart for all four ranges, shown in the table below. Our 2XL is Biltwell's XXL.

Gringo S and Gringo SV moved from two shell sizes to three, which Biltwell say improves the fit, especially in Medium and XXL. On the Gringo and Lane Splitter pages, Biltwell say their current ECE R22.06 helmets "may fit you more snugly than similar US DOT-compliant models". Measure your head before ordering your usual size.
What else you might need
The Gringo's open eye port takes a snap-on shield, a peak or a pair of goggles. The other three ranges already have a hinged shield. The Biltwell helmet visors and parts page has spare shields, peaks and liners, plus cheek pads in other thicknesses to adjust the fit. Check what each listing says it fits.
Buying a Biltwell helmet
Is the Biltwell Gringo an open-face helmet?
No. It is a full-face shell with an open eye port and no shield, which Biltwell call their classic full-face helmet.
Should I go by hat size or head measurement?
Head measurement. Biltwell's chart says fitted hat sizes vary widely with head shape, the length and volume of your hair, the hat maker and other factors, and that head measurement is the most accurate way to choose a helmet size.
Does every colourway come in every size?
Not always. Only 22 of our 45 Biltwell helmet listings are offered in every size from XS to 2XL, and seven are offered in one size only, so check the sizes on the colourway you want.
What is the 20th Anniversary edition?
Biltwell call it a limited-edition colourway, with custom graphics, a brown comfort liner and a 20th Anniversary badge. We list it on the Gringo, Gringo S and Lane Splitter only.
