Progressive Suspension Motorcycle Fork Springs
Progressive Suspension fork springs and fork spring kits for Harley-Davidson Touring, Softail, Dyna, Sportster and V-Rod models, the Indian Scout, and other makes including the Honda GL 1800 and GL 1500 Gold Wing and VTX 1800. Progressive offers some in standard and heavy-duty versions, one heavy-duty kit is listed here, and several springs for other makes fit more than one make.
Progressive-rate springs
Progressive describes its fork springs as progressive rate: soft enough to soak up small road bumps and firm enough for the big ones, with the rate rising as the spring compresses. It says some applications are offered in standard and heavy-duty versions, and the heavy-duty kit here says so in its title.
Harley-Davidson and other makes
The Harley-Davidson springs are listed by family, with years where the supplier gives them, including a 47 mm kit for Touring models from 2023. Springs for other makes are listed by part number for several makes at once, so the Fitment section on each listing is the place to confirm your model and year.
Lowering the front
Fork springs that lower the front are on the lowering kits page, where Progressive says its fork lowering kits come complete with fork springs, spacers and instructions.

Will it fit my motorcycle?
Each title names the motorcycle the part is listed for, with the years where the supplier gives them. Where a part fits more models than the title can hold, it says so, and the Fitment section on the listing gives every model and year. Check the year range as well as the model name, and on Harley-Davidson models check which fork tube diameter your bike has.
Do I need new fork oil?
Fitting fork springs means opening the forks, and the oil level is set again when they go back together. Progressive says its fork oil level adjuster allows accurate fluid level adjustments to your fork oil, and the fork oil level kits are on the suspension tools page.
